Areas we cover
Osteopathy for West Bridgford, from a clinic on the other side of the river in Mapperley.
You are crossing the Trent and skirting the east of the city to reach us, which sounds worse than it is — the route avoids the centre almost entirely. We are on Westdale Lane in Mapperley, and there is room to park on the drive, so the last part of the journey does not involve circling for a space.
The practice opens at seven in the morning from Monday to Thursday. If you work in the city, an early appointment usually means you are treated and gone before the day has properly started.
Desk-bound necks and lower backs, mostly. West Bridgford sends us a steady stream of people who sit for a living and then play sport hard at the weekend, which is a combination the body eventually objects to.
If that is you, the two pages worth reading first are back pain and neck pain. Both explain what tends to be going on underneath and what treatment actually involves.
The initial consultation runs longer than the ones that follow it. We take a history, watch how you move, examine the area properly, and then explain what we think is going on in language that means something. Treatment usually starts in that same appointment.
You will also get a straight answer about how many sessions this is likely to take. If we do not think osteopathy will help, we will tell you that instead of booking you in again.
