Ten minutes up the hill

Carlton sits below us and slightly to the east, which makes this one of the shorter journeys anybody makes to the practice. There is parking on the drive when you arrive.

We treat a lot of people who have put something off. A shoulder that has been getting worse since spring, a knee that only complains on stairs. Being close enough to come back is usually what turns that into something that actually gets dealt with.

Manual work and older joints

Two things bring people to us from this direction more than anything else: jobs that involve lifting, and joints that have done a lot of years. Neither is treated the same way, and neither is treated with a leaflet and some stretches.

An initial consultation is where we work out which of those you are dealing with, and whether osteopathy is the right answer at all. Sometimes it is not, and we will say so.

Cost, and claiming it back

Prices are published on the site rather than quoted on the phone, so you know what an initial consultation and a follow-up cost before you commit to either. There are no membership schemes and no packages to buy up front.

Most major health insurers cover osteopathy, though several require a GP referral first even though we do not. Worth checking your policy before your first appointment rather than after it.
